[edit] Newbie Guide
From reading about Awesome, I get the feeling that I could be much more productive with it; however, I loaded it and found a screen with numbers at the top, and I was lost. Everything I read about Awesome usage is vague. I Googled, "how to use awesome window manager," but no decent results came up. I searched YouTube for Awesome Window Manager, but there's only one video that shows some features without describing how to use them (or describing what the Awesome paradigm for productivity is). A guide or tutorial on transitioning from the traditional window manager paradigm to how to get things done in Awesome might increase public interest.
Response: It is recommended that you read the awesome man page (man awesome) before starting up awesome.Thewtex 17:54, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Filesizes
It would be very helpful to include the filesizes on the the downloads page. It would also be helpful to include the eventual size of uncompressed files on the wiki somewhere, possibly on the main page. People use awesome and related window managers not only for productivity reasons but because their low memory systems might perform poorly with other WMs like gnome or even XFCE. These folks typically have limited HD space to work with and could benefit from knowing how much space Awesome will consume. --Metal.lunchbox 18:15, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
