In the default rc.lua, the number keys are bound through keycodes, assuming that the number '1' always has keycode '#10'. However, this is not necessarily the case. On one of my machines running Mac OS X, the key '1' has keycode '#26'. Instead of the current "#"..i+9, I'd suggest to use tostring(i), which works fine for me.

 FS#627  is the reason for the current situation. No idea what we can do to make everyone happy. :(
